Privacy and Cookies
INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
With this document and in accordance with Article 13 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter only "GDPR") we provide information regarding the processing of personal data performed within this Website.
1. Data Controller. The Data Controller is the Association "Osservatorio Permanente Giovani - Editori", tax code 05054380489, based in Florence, Viale Guidoni, 95, e-mail: privacy@osservatorionline.it (hereinafter only "Data Controller").
2. Purpose of processing. The Controller collects and processes the User's personal data for the following purposes:
(a) to respond to requests for information transmitted by the User to the Controller by e-mail and/or telephone contact;
(b) to ensure the functionality, usability and IT security of the Website through technical cookies;
In addition, the Owner collects personal data of Users who register on the website for the following additional purposes:
(c) to allow the Owner to promote its future activities;
(d) to protect the rights of the Owner.
3. Legal basis of the processing. The treatments performed for each of the above purposes are performed under:
(a) for the processing performed for the purpose referred to in subparagraph (a) of paragraph 2, the legitimate interest of the Data Controller to enable it to respond to requests for information sent by Users by means of the Website (see Art. 6 lett. f GDPR);
(b) for the processing performed for the purpose referred to in sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph 2, of the legitimate interest of the Controller to ensure the IT security of its website (see Art. 6 lett. f GDPR);
(c) for the processing performed for the purpose referred to in sub-paragraph (d) of paragraph 2, the legitimate interest of the Data Controller consisting in the protection, in judicial or extrajudicial proceedings, of its rights (cf. art. 6 lett. f GDPR) or the fulfillment of a legal obligation of preservation (cf. art. 6 lett. c GDPR).
4. Data recipients. The collected data are disclosed to:
(a) company that owns the servers on which the website resides;
(b) company that provides the Holder with the server hosting service for the website;
(c) company contracted by the Data Controller to perform the maintenance and updating service for the website for reasons strictly related to the fulfillment of this task;
(d) consultants, professionals and/or additional third parties that may be appointed to protect the rights of the Data Controller (e.g. lawyers);

5. Data Transfer. The server on which the website resides is located in Italy. The Controller therefore does not carry out transfers of personal data to countries outside the EU.
6. Duration of processing. The processing operations described above will be carried out by the Controller for the following durations:
(a) for the processing performed for the purpose referred to in Paragraph 2, lett. (a), for the time necessary to allow the Controller to respond to the requests transmitted by the User;
(b) for the processing performed for the purpose referred to in Paragraph 2, lett. (b), for the duration necessary for the fulfillment of the specific legal obligations in this regard;
(c) for the processing performed for the purpose referred to in Paragraph 2, lett. (c), for the duration of the Project and the User's participation;
(d) for processing performed for the purpose referred to in Paragraph 2, lett. (d), for the duration of the User's registration to the website.
It should also be noted that, for the processing for the purposes referred to in Paragraph 2, lett. (a), (b) (c) and (d), the data will be retained, after the durations specified above, for the time necessary to defend in court the rights of the Owner (for example, in case of a claim for damages by the data subject).
7. Rights of the data subject. Finally, we would like to remind you that at any time, by means of a communication to be sent to the Data Controller at the contact details indicated above, if the legal prerequisites are met, you may exercise access to and obtain the deletion, updating, rectification, limitation and integration of the personal data concerning you, as well as exercise all the rights provided for in Chapter III of the GDPR and national laws in matters within their competence, where the conditions are met. You may also receive in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format the personal data concerning you. In accordance with Article 77 of the Regulations, you may lodge a complaint with the relevant Data Protection Supervisory Authority if you believe that your rights have been violated. Finally, if the processing is based on our legitimate interest, you may, in application of the provisions of Article 21 of the Regulation, object to the processing at any time for reasons related to your particular situation.
8. Cookies. The cookies used by the website and the characteristics of each of them (name, purpose and duration) are specifically indicated within the specific box that appears when you access the website itself. By virtue of the Guidelines rendered by the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data with provision no. 231 of June 10, 2021, the use of technical cookies (i.e., necessary for the proper functioning of the website) and anonymized analytical cookies do not require the prior consent of the User (but can be disabled at any time) while the use of non-technical cookies (i.e., pursuing profiling and/or marketing purposes) requires the consent expressed by the User through the appropriate box on the website.
The site is a technical intermediary for third-party cookies, used in order to provide additional services and functionalities to visitors and to simplify the use of the site itself, or to provide personalized advertising. This site has no control over their cookies wholly managed by the third parties and has no access to the information collected through said cookies. Information about the use of said cookies and their purposes, as well as how to disable them, is provided directly by the third parties.
The site uses cookies from the following third parties.

However, users can also express their preferences about cookies through the settings of the browser they use. By default, almost all web browsers are set to automatically accept cookies, but users can change the default configuration through the settings of the browser they use, which allow them to delete/remove all or some cookies or block cookies from being sent or limit them to certain sites.
9. Cookie Policy. When you first access the website, you will see a special banner in which, for each of the cookies, the name, purpose, data collected, the third party to which the cookie refers, and the duration of processing will be indicated. The user, except for anonymized technical and analytical cookies, must give free and express consent to the use of marketing and/or profiling cookies. Any consent given may be revoked in any way by disabling cookies according to the procedures indicated in the following Paragraph.

Disabling / blocking cookies or deleting them may affect the optimal use of certain areas of the site or prevent certain features, as well as affect the operation of third-party services.
